Maun Motors, one of the UK’s biggest independent light commercial vehicle dealers, has seen an uplift in sales of nearly 10% since adopting a new style of flexible, responsive website earlier this year.
The Mansfield-based company with 50 staff saw its March sales rise by 10% after it launched a responsive website developed by Autoexposure, the web solutions division of Motors.co.uk.
The new portal includes better search functionality, a finance calculator and search engine optimisation.
Maun has seen a significant improvement in performance. Comparing the first quarter of 2013 to the same period in 2014, the site enjoyed an increase of more than 11% in unique users. And while the number of pages viewed on the site increased by 7%, the time spent on the site fell by 9.5%, reflecting the improved search function for vans.
Andrew Kennedy, head of sales and marketing at Maun Motors, said: “Having been involved in our website development from the start, I knew there was a huge opportunity to improve the functionality and SEO of the site, but given the constraint of the old platform, it would be expensive to bolt-on a lot of the features we now wanted."
Autoexposure's Flex solution which has already been adopted by more than 100 car and van dealers.
