Citroën hopes to sell around 6,000 of the new C4 Picasso models a year - and more if it can get supply.
The latest model is on sale now. In Europe sales have reached 10,000 since launch in June. With restricted supply, Citroën said that it expects around 1,600 sales by the end of this year in the UK.
Young families with one or two children and older couples with grown-up children are expected to be the most common buyers
At launch there will be two petrol and three diesel engine options. Prices start at £17,500 rising to £24,000. The VTR manual model at £20,000 is expected to be the biggest seller while a 50-50 split between retail and fleet is expected.
