RAC BuySure has announced its 1,000th used car sale just seven weeks after the initiative officially launched.

The 57 plate Toyota Yaris FR was sold by Hadfield Motor Company of Cardiff, one of the first dealers to sign up to the approved used car scheme.

RAC head of dealer propositions, Mario Dolcezza, commented: “It is very encouraging to see this milestone reached so quickly.

“The level of interest from dealers has been very high. It is early days but we believe that being able to illustrate the way in which the scheme brings success, as seen in this 1,000th sale, will help to promote rapid take-up among dealers.

“This initial success shows that the fundamentals of the project are absolutely right – a consumer focused used car programme from the RAC with a comprehensive support package has very high levels of appeal.”

BuySure was created by the RAC with its long-time partner in the warranty sector, The Warranty Group.
