Audi has the most efficient new car retail network in the UK.
Using SMMT registration figures and AMi data on the number of sales outlets, the German brand's dealers are selling more units per outlet per month.
From January to October 2013 the average for Audi dealers was 102 units. In second place was Volkswagen with 80 and third BMW 79.
Volkswagen was the highest placed in the 'volume' brands. Ford's network sold an average of 52 and Vauxhall 63.
Among the 'new generation' Korean and value brands such as Chevrolet, Kia and MG, Hyundai leads with an average 44 registrations per month per dealer.
