MG Motor UK is enticing new apprentices with the promise of a ‘trip of a lifetime’ to China.
The Birmingham-based manufacturer says ‘exceptional candidates’ will get to visit its parent company, SAIC Motor, in the second year of a new two-year Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme.
Applicants will need five GCSEs (including Maths, English and a core science subject). Those successful will earn £7,654 in their first year while working towards an HNC or HND qualification.
The course starts in August and trainees will work in General Assembly, where the MG6 models come off the assembly lines, and in the Sales and Marketing department.
HR manager, Louise Lane, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for youngsters to join in what is the birth of the new MG. For the right candidates, this will be the start of a great career in the industry.”
The closing date for applications is 8 April.
