Peugeot has released images of a concept version of a 208 GTI, which will be shown at Geneva Motor Show next month.
The French carmaker launches the 208 this year, and the concept gives an indication of the sportiest derivative coming.
Aero lower bodywork, chromes double exhaust tailpipes, brushed aluminium logos, chequered flag emblems and part leather sports seats are among its features.
The GTi Concept takes its propulsion from the powerfully-compact RCZ THP 197bhp 1.6-litre turbo engine, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
