Development of Vertu Motors' multi-million pound Vauxhall brand centre in Chingford has started with Robert Forrester, dealer group chief executive, and Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall Motors' managing director, cutting the first sod for the new Bristol Street Motors retail site.
Bristol Street Motors’ 560 square metre showroom in Chingford will accommodate 12 Vauxhall vehicles.
The site will offer employment for 75 staff and carbon reduction initiatives include easily accessible EV charging bays while 20% of the energy used on site will be covered by on-site generated renewable energy.
Robert Forrester said: “This investment demonstrates our confidence in this partnership and the Bristol Street Motors business model and our commitment to investing in local economies and creating full-time sustainable employment opportunities.”
Duncan Aldred added: “We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Bristol Street Motors by jointly developing a new Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford. I am confident that, together, we will be able to brave tough market conditions building on the mutual strength of our brands and on our expertise in automotive retailing.”
