Honda UK has appointed David Hodgetts as its new managing director following the promotion of Ken Keir to become executive vice president, Honda Motor Europe.
Hodgetts takes up the role on April 1 and will be in charge of leading the company’s sales operations for cars. He previously worked at Honda’s Swindon car plant where he has 20 years experience with Honda culminating in his current role as director of planning and administration.
Keir performed in a dual role as UK managing director and senior vice president for Honda Motor Europe. With the appointment of Hodgetts, Keir relinquishes direct responsibility for the UK operation focusing entirely on strengthening the total European sales operation.
