Recently qualified Volkswagen apprentices have been treated to a day at Silverstone hosted by Volkswagen Racing.
More than 100 apprentices who qualified at advanced level as service technicians and parts consultants attended the event.
The day included driving a car through a slalom course against the clock while balancing a tennis ball on a specially adapted bonnet.
There were also challenges on the skid pan, fuel economy trials and high-speed racing.
David Bownes, from VT Training which provides apprenticeship training for Volkswagen, said the newly-qualified apprentices had worked extremely hard over the past three years.
“They truly deserved this memorable day out,” Bownes said.
