Volkswagen will add a fourth model to its commercial vehicle line-up next year with the addition of a new pickup.

The one-tonne pickup will go into production at the end of 2009 and join the existing CV range which includes the Caddy, Transporter and Crafter.

It will be built at Volkswagen’s Pacheco plant in Argentina and introduced initially to markets in Europe, South America, South Africa and Australia.

VW has confirmed that new common rail turbodiesel engines will be used in the new pickup.
