Bosch Car Service has been praised by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), as a result of the company’s consumer code of practice annual report.

OFT said that it was satisfied that the Bosch Car Service programme was continuing to deliver consumer benefits and meet the obligations of an approved code sponsor.

Patricia Aloysius, OFT case manager said: “The evidence provided by Bosch in its annual report was felt to be very robust.

“The programme is clearly working hard to promote high standards and it was noted that Bosch is unwilling to compromise on standards.”

Dawn Bushey, co-owner of Bushey Hall Garage said: “As a member of the Bosch Car Service network we not only understand the importance of OFT approval for the code of practice but have also seen the benefits that it has brought us as an independent garage.

“It has given our local consumers the confidence to expect the best possible service and customer care.”

Bosch’s code of practice gained stage one approval from the OFT two years ago.
