Over 50 Subaru dealers will leave the UK on June 30 for a four day stay in Tokyo.
Subaru’s parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries will take dealers to a test track during the trip to allow them to drive the new Impreza, before proceeding to a gala dinner at the end of the day.
“Twenty-three of the 55 dealers have also qualified for an ‘extended holiday’ in Okinawa, following an overview of their sales performance in the fourth quarter of 2006 and first quarter of 2007,” said a spokesperson for Subaru.
Jon Mathers, managing director of Cross Roads Garage in Tredington, Warwickshire, is one of the dealers attending the trip. He said it was a step in the right direction for Subaru to further improve relations with its UK network.
“Subaru has been trying exceptionally hard to improve communication with its dealer partners and UK customers this year.
“It will be the first time Subaru has taken its dealers out to Japan and we welcome the chance to get acquainted with the company’s new products before they reach customers in the United Kingdom,” added Mathers.
