The 31-year-old, formerly general sales manager at the outlet, is one of the youngest dealer principals in Sytner’s 130-strong dealer network.
Simpson has been with the group since 1995, when he started selling Ferrari and Maserati at Graypaul in Loughborough. From there he moved to the group’s sister outlet in Sheffield, where he worked as sales manager, and he has been with the Porsche Centre since its opening in June 2003.
“My predecessor Noel Gaston really put the centre on the map in the first three years of operation,” says Simpson. “He is now working for our parent company, United Auto Group, in Detroit.”
Simpson believes that now is an “exciting” time to be involved with the Porsche brand. “New products are reaching a much wider audience for the first time and we are poised and enthusiastic to take up that challenge.”
He has been a member of the Porsche Club since 1996 and is a great fan of classic cars. He currently owns seven classics, including a rare DeLorean.
