A3 and A3 Sportback models are now available with a new 158bhp 1.8-litre turbo FSI unit. The second Audi unit to combine turbo charging and FSI injection takes the three-door A3 1.8 TFSI to 62mph in 8.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 136mph, while also returning up to 38.6mpg with a carbon dioxide output of 174g/km.
The A6 Saloon and Avant ranges get a new 208bhp 2.8-litre V6 FSI engine. The new engine gives the A6 a 0-62mph time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 151mph. It returns 32.4mpg and produces 207g/km of CO2.
The third new engine is destined for the Q7, and creates the first six-cylinder petrol version of the model. Slotting between the 3.0 TDI V6 and 4.2-litre V8 FSI models, the new Q7 3.6 FSI delivers 278bhp, and powers to 62mph in 8.5 seconds on the way to a 142mph maximum speed. The new version also returns 22.2mpg, with CO2 output of 304g/km.
