Jaguar-owned Daimler is to launch its new Super Eight model this autumn, the first new Daimler model for seven years.

The Super Eight is powered by a six-speed automatic 4.2-litre, supercharged V8 engine and is mounted in an aluminium body.

Standard equipment includes voice-activated four-zone climate control, a full multi-media entertainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels and power adjustable rear-seats with folding work-tables.

The new model will come in a choice of six body colours and three leather interior trims and will go on sale in November.

Prices will be announced closer to launch.
