Citroen UK has announced that current managing director, Alan Favey, will be leaving on September 1 to become the MD of Citroen Italy.

Xavier Duchemin, who will be replacing Favey, has been with Citroen for the last 14 years, holding a series of positions in sales, marketing, replacement parts and human resources in its Paris head office and within other European countries.

  • Favey joined Citroen UK in May 2000 and has overseen an increase in sales from 86,000 vehicles in 1999 to 130,000 last year.
