Fiat Auto UK has appointed Giulio Salomone as its new managing director, replacing Jose Antonio Garvia who has moved to become operations director for Alfa Romeo.

Salamone was previously senior vice-president of financial services for Fiat Auto in Turin. The manufacturer is confident this experience will give him significant insight into the key factors driving the UK market, with the emphasis on inancial products.

Meanwhile, Fiat Auto UK has also appointed Tony Dittli as fleet director for both the Fiat and Alfa brands. Previously fleet operations manager, Dittli will be responsible for all new areas of business, including corporate and public sector sales.
