Lookers’ non-executive chairman Fred Maguire has given his personal seal of approval to a subscription-based organisation aiming to bring together senior directors and managers in the automotive retail industry.
Auto Retail Network, whose editorial director is Lookers’ PR man Rupert Saunders, publishes a monthly newsletter from its base in Rutland, sells market reports and organises business seminars and briefings.
Of the Auto Retail Bulletin newsletter, Maguire is reported to have said: “It’s written largely by industry experts, not journalists. Contributors include professionals whose advice would usually cost thousands of pounds.”
Saunders, a journalist, edits the industry experts’ material and contributes news stories.
