Presented by Boris Johnson, editor of The Spectator, the awards aim to celebrate "the accomplishments of business professionals, innovators, employers, tutors and consultants who have achieved success and who have been instrumental in developing the finance profession and the organisations that operate within it".
Jaguar/Land Rover in Warwickshire came away with Employer of the Year- over 500 employees, despite talks starting next week on whether to strike over plans to end car production at its Browns Lane plant and cut 1,150 jobs. Morgan Stanley and Proctor and Gamble were also highly commended.
Other winner included HSBC's Birmingham Accounting Service Centre forFinance Team of the Year, Hays Accounting & Finance in London for Recruitment Agency of the Year and the Institute of Electrical Engineers in Stevenage for Employer of the Year with under 500 employees.
