The Office of Fair Trading has refused an application for credit licences from two Lancashire dealers.
John and Shane Greaves, trading in Rochdale as Wood Street Car Sales had their partnership credit licence application refused. The OFT took into account John Greaves' conviction at Manchester Crown Court on May 17 of obtaining property by deception.
The OFT regulatory activity is increasingly focusing on motor dealers' adherance to credit rules – as reported in AM (May 16).
