European Motor Holdings is to dispose of its Volvo franchise site at Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne – and has bought a VW dealership in Bebington on Wirral.

The Volvo site sale, combined with a recent disposal of a surplus vacant freehold site in Gateshead, has raised around £2.8m.

The group has paid £0.2m for the VW business and the purchase marks the acquisition of a second strategic territory for the marque – the group has VW sites in Chester and Wrexham.
