The German mail order business Tschibo has joined another German counterpart in retailing new cars, but in contrast to the Quelle operation, is offering a limited edition Fiat Stilo with the full co-operation of the manufacturer.

A special edition Fiat Stilo TCM is featured in Tschibo's catalogue and on its website www.tschibo.de. A Fiat spokesperson told the German paper Bild am Sonntag that the venture was an experiment intended to win greater exposure for the model and test out „a new and attractive marketing channel.

The deal offers a price of €14,995 for the car, representing a discount of some €4,000 on the manufacturer's list price, and the cars are supplied by 100 participating Fiat dealers. Tschibo and Fiat are hoping to sell some 2,000 Stilos by the year-end. (various sources)
