Citroën has launched a retail cash-back offer in the run up to the UK's all-new registration change.

The cashback deals are worth as much as £2,400.

The campaign, which is applicable until the end of September in the UK, sees new buyers being offered £700 cashback on all Saxo models, except the Saxo First, and £965 cashback on the 100bhp Saxo VTR. On top of that, each of the sporty models – Furio, VTR and VTS – comes with one year's free insurance for drivers aged 21 to 80.

Citroën's New Look Xsara is offered with £700 cashback or more on all models. The 1.4i LX 5-door saloon, with ABS, air conditioning and four airbags, is available for £8,995 inclusive of £1,365 cashback, whilst the 167hp 2.0i 16V VTS Coupe is on offer with both £2,400 cashback and one year's free insurance for drivers aged between 25 and 80.

Buyers of Citroën Xsara Picasso 1.6i SX models qualify for £1,500 cashback, making it possible to drive away in an SX with air conditioning and CD player for the price of an LX, while the rest of the range enjoys £800 cashback.

Both saloon and estate versions of the Citroën C5 are offered with 0% finance over three years on receipt of a 50% deposit, or a low rate personal contract purchase scheme at 7.9% APR.

All versions of the Berlingo Multispace enjoy £500 cashback and the Synergie range, £2,000 cash back.
