Inchcape UK hopes to maximise residual values on end of lease vehicles after appointing AA Business Services to provide inspections at its Burton upon Trent, Staffs, remarketing centre.

The AA, which also works with Inchcape's Autobytel online vehicle retailing operation, will inspect around 8,000 end of lease vehicles a year, highlighting necessary repairs.

David Rathband, Inchcape UK director of vehicle sourcing, said: “Residual values on end of lease vehicles is one of the factors that differentiate good business from bad in the retailing marketplace. This was a key element of our service mix that could be improved.”
