BCA Europe sold 23 cars, worth £200,000, to buyers at the Fleet Show using daily Live Online auctions. The Fleet Show was the first time BCA has used Live Online in an 'open sale' format, rather than carmaker to dealer network.
Dealers at the show could bid against buyers during auctions at BCA centres in Measham, Nottingham and Blackbushe, in Surrey.
Tom Madden, BCA Europe customer affairs director, said: “Live Online shows how BCA is harnessing new technology to add value to the auction process, with simultaneous sound and vision broadcast over the internet, and an interactive system allowing remote bidders to compete with buyers in the auction hall.”
BCA also launched Adlink at the show, which offers dealers an opportunity to instantly remarket the cars they buy at BCA via the consumer motoring site Autotrader.co.uk.
The company has developed a branded version of BCA Direct for fleet firm Alphabet GB called AutoChoice. It allows 200 selected dealers to buy stock online.
