West Midlands internet operator Torque has launched an accident management website designed to speed up the process for body repairers and accident managers. The site - www.accident-assistance-online.co.uk - is a free service enabling accident managers to source selected bodyshops, both independents and franchised, throughout the UK. Torque divided the country by postcode into 160 regions, with one repairer per area. It has presently filled 145 points and hopes to have a full network within weeks. Repairers, who pay a monthly fee to represent their area on the website, work directly with the accident management company once they have been fed work. Torque does not get involved with payments or handling the repair process.
