Nissan Motor GB has launched a national parts trade programme designed to boost business for its franchised dealer network.

The deal, which includes all Nissan genuine parts and a new all-makes range, Motrio, is intended to develop relationships with trade customers by offering parts at competitive prices.

The Motrio range is manufactured by leading original equipment suppliers and is claimed to cover 80% of vehicles - including volume makes like Ford and Vauxhall - in the UK. It is expected to generate business on cars typically two or more years old, after the manufacturer's warranty has expired.

A Nissan spokeswoman said: “Once the car is out of warranty, a lot of customers leave the franchised network and go to smaller independent outlets, who may not be able to source the necessary parts. Nissan dealers will now be able to offer these parts through Motrio.”

Doug Cook, director, aftersales, Nissan Motors GB, added: “Trade customers have a need to buy quality parts at competitive prices. By offering Nissan's range of 34,000 genuine parts and Motrio parts, we can ensure that they go to their local dealer first.

“That's what we mean by building relationships - helping our dealers support the people they do business with.”
