SsangYong has revealed a new compact B-segment crossover concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show called the XIV-1 which showcases future design style for the Korean brand.

More than just a design study, XIV-1 is the concept version of SsangYong’s premium B-segment CUV project, which will lead to the addition of another mass production model to the Korean company’s range.

SsangYong has relaunched in the UK this September with its new Korando crossover SUV which will lead the brand’s revitalised model range. The Rexton and Rodius will be updated next year and a Korando sport utility pick-up will be introduced in 2013.

It’s likely a production version of the new XIV-1 will join the SsangYong range in 2013.
