How did you get in to the automotive business?
I joined Ness Motors as the company accountant in 2003.

What does your job entail?
Responsibility for all financial aspects of Ness Motors.

How will your job change over the next few years?
I am already becoming more involved in the financial planning and development of the company, reviewing projects and providing financial back up to directors and managers.Other jobs?
I started at Inverness Health Service before moving to Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE) to study for my ACCA qualification. I then worked in finance for local enterprise companies and in 1998 I moved into the private sector where I was an accountant for five years before joining Ness Motors.

What advice would you give to young people joining the industry?
Take the plunge and become involved.

What’s the worst career move you’ve ever made?
I’ve not made one.

Moving to Ness Motors.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
Still at Ness Motors and helping the company to grow.
