Windmill Garage in Honiton, Devon, was one of the first of the 100 independent garages to join the scheme, introduced to help independent garages build their business and improve their public image.
Roger Evans, workshop manager at Windmill Garage, previously a Unipart Car Care Centre, says: “The way Motaquip has approached its garage scheme is reassuring and refreshing.
This was a major move for Windmill Garage, but the ease of transition from Unipart’s programme to Motaquip’s scheme has been extremely professional.
The handover to Motaquip’s MAM Autowork computer system for quotations, ordering, invoicing and service records was quick and straightforward, with no disruptions to working practices. We are delighted to be one of the first independent garages to sign-up to the scheme.”
Peter Cox, national sales manager at Motaquip, says the scheme is part of its strategy to educate customers about the service levels offered by most independent garages, while providing them with access to commercial support.
He says: “There is no signing-on fee or annual membership charge, and while there are appropriate qualitative criteria that surround introduction to the programme, there is no mandatory minimum entry requirement.”
