Peugeot will be showcasing its hybrid technology at the British International Motor Show next month in its 307 CC Hybride HDi.

It is powered by a combination of 1.6-litre HDi diesel ‘Stop & Start’ engine and an electric power train. It is being considered for inclusion in Peugeot’s lineup in 2010.

The hybrid engine has a mixed-cycle fuel consumption of nearly 70mpg, a 30% gain compared to the standard HDi model.

  • The British International Motor Show will be held at London’s Excel Centre from July 18-30.
