Inchcape has acquired Keystar Motors in south east Queensland, Australia for £8.8 million.

Keystar represents Subaru, Hyundai, Kia and Mitsubishi in the Brisbane area, across two multi-franchise retail centres. Together these businesses generated £32m of revenue for the year ended June 30, 2005.

Whilst Inchcape already has a retail presence in Melbourne and Sydney, the acquisition of Keystar marks the group's first entry into Brisbane.
