The Mahle Group has appointed a new boss to lead its UK operation, which incorporates engine components alongside filter systems.

Ian Stanworth takes up the position of managing director of Mahle Systems from April 2001. He will be responsible for the company's expanding sales force, which now involves aftermarket sales of Mahle's engine component range.

He will work alongside Brian Williams, who he succeeds as managing director. Mr Stanworth helped to establish the Mahle's filter systems subsidiary in 1997.
