Sales and marketing director Mike Pilkington said GRS purchased around 500 cars of various makes last year to assess whether it was feasible to expand the model range. “We were quite successful, which gave us extra confidence to go ahead with the plans,” he said. GRS is now offering 12-18 month-old Nissans, from Micra to QX, and added S-plate Vauxhall models, with mileages up to 30,000, to its core range of T and V Vauxhalls. Former Seat and Volkswagen manager David Grice, who recently joined as business development manager, has a remit to manage new relationships, said Mr Pilkington, and “ensure we have the necessary in-house product knowledge for the new models”. Vauxhall dealer Greenhous group launched GRS six years ago to remarket its six-month-old rental buy-backs.
