Vehicle Technician

Our client is a UK’s leading vehicle fleet management company located throughout the UK. And they are now recruiting for a Vehicle Technician based at their Westbury site.

The role for a Mechanic will cover our new day shift and would be on the 554 shift: These are 12 hour days but working 4 days on 4 days off, then 5 days on 5 days off.

The responsibility of the  Vehicle Technicians will be for the diagnostic, repair, service and maintaining vehicles to a good quality standard as specified by the manufacturers or warranty requirements. 

What you'll be doing:

• Carrying out servicing and general repairs, stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles.
• Diagnostics
• Servicing and repair
• Identifying faulty components and ensure underlying problems are resolved.
• Ensuring all consumables and parts ordered are logged against job cards.
• Carrying out Vehicle Health Checks and basic diagnostics.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous: Mechanic, Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, and/or MOT Testing experience.
• Garage management systems including VHC & Inspection Programmes.
• Qualified to at least NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 (or equivalent qualifications).
• Vehicle diagnosis and repair experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence
