Independent Classic Car Restoration Specialist
Horsham, West Sussex.Our client, a family run independent Classic Car Accident Repair & Restoration Specialist are seeking a Paint Sprayer/MET Technician to join their productive team.
This a great opportunity to join a thriving family run business that’s been established for nearly 50 years. Our client offers a fully equipped workshop with regular updating of equipment. They have a great reputation stretching as far as Crawley, Brighton alongside some international customers.
Our client has undertaken countless antique / vintage car restoration and refurbishment projects in the past, and as classic automotive restorers fully restore bumpers, panels, hoods, dash/ trim interiors, and chrome and carry out car body repairs.
They undertake all repairs from a blown light bulb, full service, MOT work, up to a full bare metal restoration.
This Classic Car Restoration Technician role gives any applicant an opportunity to work with some of the most unique vehicles in the world, from Ford Capri’s to Ferrari Spiders, Austin 10’s, Alvis & Elvas. Their work is regularly on display at Goodwood Classic Revival and other Classic Car shows.
Our client is seeking applications from Level 3 qualified or equivalent, Paint Sprayers, Vehicle Preppers and MET Technicians, looking to make a career within the Classic Car Environment.
Formal Qualifications are a must have, but our client will provide specialist training within the Classic Car environment and are seeking hungry and eager individuals to develop their career further.

Company Pension.Duties of a Paint Sprayer & MET Technician with our Client.
Replacing or repairing damaged areas to a high standard.
Planning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when promised.
Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
Carrying out inspections on bodywork on classic and modern vehicles to assess extent of damage.
Prepping and then priming vehicles ready for paintwork.
You will also need to reassemble vehicle body parts and accessories.
An advantage but not essential, is painting individual jobs and small areas such as bumper corners, wings etc.
Use of paint mixing system
Light body repair work
Work without supervision for your skill set
Polish the vehicle after paintwork.What our client expects of their Paint Sprayer & MET Technician
Ideally you will have some experience within either Paint Spraying, Vehicle Preparation or MET, College experience considered.
Hold an NVQ Level 3 Qualification within a relevant discipline.
Enthusiastic, energetic, and conscientious team member.
The ideal candidate should be hardworking, have great attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
Willingness to work within different areas of the body shop and to be a team player is very important.
A desire to develop skills further and train your skillset.
Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
