John Highfield has joined Warranty Assist, the sister company of MotorEasy under the Intelligent Motoring group.

Highfield will be responsible for continuing the warranty provider’s growth among small and medium sized motor dealers.

Warranty Assist describes Highfield as a seasoned sales and marketing professional with more than 25 years’ experience of the automotive industry, both in the UK and internationally, including at Warranty Direct alongside Duncan McClure Fisher, who left that business in 2014 and subsequently founded Intelligent Motoring.

The company said Highfield’s mix of entrepreneurial and corporate experience includes media relations, re-marketing, dealer group, distribution, manufacturing and financial services.

McClure Fisher, chief executive, said: “John joins us at an exciting time for our business and his appointment reflects our ambition of achieving sustained growth. His skills and experience are the perfect fit for Warranty Assist, and we are confident that we’ll be able to take full advantage of both short- and longer-term opportunities in a rapidly evolving market.”

He said Warranty Assist will also benefit from plugging into the MotorEasy repairs network, offering discounted service and MOT bookings and more savings to over 300,000 UK drivers.
