Harwoods Group has completed the development of a new glass-sided Audi aftersales facility in Portsmouth in an effort to bring customers a “future now” car servicing experience.

The AM100 retail group’s Portsmouth Audi franchised site will benefit from the opening of the new site, which was developed on 1.7 acres of land off Airspeed Road, Portsmouth.

Among the features of the 19,300 square foot facility, designed by HNW Architects, is a two-lane, fully-glazed drive through and service reception.

Nick Jones, Harwoods Audi brand director, said: “We proudly represent Audi quality and progressive design, which is why our latest investment in the brand is so important.

“From the very start, our vision was to provide what our customers might perceive as the future, right now.

“We understand the importance of the customer experience, with the feeling of confidence and value which emanate from receiving excellent care”.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging points are a central component of the new aftersales site, and Harwoods said that “forward thinking construction” had future-proofed the build for the provision of further electrification charging points as demand increases.

Customers will also indirectly benefit from additional ‘behind the scenes’ technology, such as a photo booth turntable which will provide engaging visuals of new and Approved Used vehicles.

Jones added: “The elevated level of aftersales care we provide just shifted up yet another gear, and the Portsmouth Audi team look forward to proudly welcoming customers to experience our safe and protected facility”.

Portsmouth Audi’s new facility officially opened to customers yesterday (October 19).
