Midlands and North West based Holdcroft Motor Group has today acquired ALM Garages in Macclesfield for an undisclosed sum.

ALM Garages currently represents the Hyundai franchise and has Honda service centre.

The acquisition sees Holdcroft take their fifth Hyundai location to complement its existing dealerships in Crewe, Hanley, Stafford and Ellesmere Port

Darren Holdcroft, Holdcroft Motor Group managing director, said: "Macclesfield is a region where we have wanted to operate for some time and we are delighted to have purchased the ALM business.

"Macclesfield is a great market and I feel that ALM will complement our growing portfolio.”

David Kendrick, partner at UHY Hacker Young, who advised the shareholders of ALM Garages with the sale said: “ALM Garages have represented a number of brands in Macclesfield over the years and have a very strong name in the area. Becoming part of a larger group such as Holdcroft will no doubt bring further opportunities for the business to flourish.”
