JCT600 has completed an eight month redevelopment programme to transform the Audi showroom in Lincoln into an enlarged energy efficient dealership, representing a £2 million investment.
Work began on the two acre site, in Doddington Road, last summer.
The new sustainable dealership features one of the most advanced building management control systems in the motor industry with energy usage able to be controlled and closely monitored.
The roof is also almost entirely covered in solar photovoltaic (PV) panels enabling it to generate its own electricity and sell any surplus back to the national grid.
Energy and water consumption is closely monitored and daily reports are provided to check on overuse or wastage.
As well as doubling the size of the original showroom, the redevelopment features enhanced customer areas with a dedicated first floor service lounge and children’s play area downstairs as well as two bespoke vehicle handover rooms.
It also includes the latest multi-media integration with interactive screens.
The dealership now houses the biggest selection of Audi vehicles in Lincolnshire with over 80 new and pre-owned Audi cars on display.
“The new state-of-the-art showroom is a really eye-catching addition to the town as well as featuring the latest innovations to make it as energy efficient as possible,” said Mark Taylor, group property director of JCT600.
“As well as looking stunning, the redeveloped dealership will also greatly improve the customer experience. For example, it incorporates the latest Audi technology such as high tech vehicle configuration equipment enabling customers to build a virtual car and view it in 3D on an 80-inch screen in a private room.”
Audi Lincoln has operated for more than 20 years and employs 100 staff.
